DataPlus – Data Collection

The need to collect data and build interfaces has never been greater. The exchange of data between disparate systems is a key factor in many business processes. Most national and multinational corporations share the requirement to collect data from a variety of source applications using different formats and code structures.

When Pfizer implemented a new system for international financial consolidation they needed a new flexible data collection system. The objective was to implement a paperless system that would support existing applications and ensure that data submitted to the consolidation process was both formatted correctly and error-free.

The result was DataPlus – a parametrically driven data-collection system. DataPlus is now deployed throughout Pfizer with approximately 200 installations in some 70 countries.
